Friday, November 24, 2023 - The estate wine hails from the southern most point of Calistoga, perhaps the foothills below Howell Mountain.
Two hour slow ox, which was about right. Intense blue and black fruit aromas upon first opening. Warm blackberry, cherry and plum fruits. dark chocolate, black currant leaf and hint of orange rind. Terrific richness and balance and even better integrated than a bottle I had over the summer.
This was my last bottle. It is drinking at its peak for my palate and I am glad I opened it. On day two, it picked up a meaty, syrah like quality
