Saturday, February 17, 2024 - Opened about two hours in advance, then drunk over dinner. No TN, from memory.
Pungent nose at first, with the alcohol quite prominent. With time it quiets down, becomes more balanced and interesting, showing lovely Nebbiolo fruit and nice complexity, even though not quite at the level of their Baroli. The palate is surprisingly rich, then over the course of the dinner it also finds a better balance and shows more subtle notes on top of the bold fruit. Wonderful Langhe Nebbiolo.
