Saturday, July 2, 2022 - As Lundmc stated previously, there was a ton of sediment on the decanter screen. I definitely would recommend a decant before serving. Went with a two hour decant before dinner. Dark cherry and black fruit aromas emerged upon the opening of the bottle. These settled down with the first glass but re-emerged with the last. This was a very nice change. The wine is well balanced, with a nice lingering finish. Hints of anise and cacao come through with dark cherry dominanting the nose. This wine improved throughout dinner and held its own against a nice ribeye. I would wager that this wine has three to five years of life left easily.
