Thursday, December 8, 2022 - Tasted double-blind as part of a Redigaffi mini- vertical (2000, 2010, 2015). Dense and concentrated with sweet raspberry fruit, herbal tea, sweet notes of sugar-coated berries, mineral complexity on earthy base. The palate shows impeccable balance and is harmonious and excels with vibrant acidity. Unfortunately I couldn’t help but note a bit of heat. This is layered and complex, but can’t quite keep up with the softness in texture that the best Merlots can show. That said, having tasted this before in 2018 and 2020, it feels like we are slowly but surely entering the drinking window here.
