Friday, March 14, 2014 - This 2002 drank both relatively mature and very lively, a great combination. After an hour in the decanter, the initially stinky scent seemed almost to have been absorbed back into the wine, lingering pleasantly in the background. At that point, the wine tasted sweetly brambly and was very aromatic, a bouquet of flowers. Satiny texture. The wine developed to taste more savory with a woodsy smell. By the end, there was a liqueur-like quality to it that I loved.
