Sunday, March 13, 2022 - Big fan of White Rock but this bottle did not show especially well tonight.
Gave it a two hour decant and it was still a touch hot in spite of the chill it got. It improved throughout the evening so believe this needs a longer decant, four hours maybe.
Be careful of the sediment. A candidate for the most I've ever seen (refer to the picture I posted of the last bit from bottle). With all that sediment I'd say the tannins are fully resolved so not sure how much longer this can hold on. Unless, unless this bottle is an outlier. Always possible.
This is the first 2014 Napa Cab I've had in a long time that wasn't fantastic. It's good, just not fantastic.
