Saturday, August 14, 2021 - Saturday hangout (Chicago, IL): A very oak-heavy villages wine. It feels like you can taste the winemaking here, and the freshness of the fruit (in what should be a very fruit-forward vintage) seems lacking. It's the sort of wine that I compare to a dull thud.
