Tuesday, January 21, 2020 - Domaine de Chevalier Tasting (French Embassy): Juicy, energetic, but deep core of fruit on the nose (currants, raspberries, black cherry) with cedar, smoky earth. Concentrated and young on the palate but also surprisingly accessible. Pretty currant and plum fruit, laced with cocoa, earth, cedar, graphite, iron. This needs time but it’s balanced well for a long life ahead. Wow, what a beaut.
