Saturday, June 26, 2021 - Two hour double decant. Very very deep magenta color. Black cherry (with stems), blackberry jam, lingonberry, tobacco, and subtle leather on the fruit forward and subtly earthy nose. Smooth, dry, spicy palate, with great acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. 75% Merlot and 25% CF

9/15/2022 12:53:00 PM - How does this compare with the 2016 Fleur Cardinale & 2016 Bellefont Belcier?

9/15/2022 1:03:00 PM - I’m just barely tiptoeing into Bordeaux. I’ve not tried those others. Napa Cab remains king for me. ‘16 Pontet Canet was a bit better than this, if that’s helpful. Cheers WineGuy!

9/15/2022 1:29:00 PM - I just asked Jeff Leve my question. There are far too many St Emilion Grand Crus to have tried them all. My goal is to have tried 25 of them or so. Thanks.

9/15/2022 4:16:00 PM - St Emilion and Pomerol are my favorite Bordeaux “appellations”. My wife and I lean toward Merlot in France, which is a bit odd. Oh well… Cheers y’all!

9/15/2022 4:20:00 PM - I just bought 6 of these. New Chateau for me. All in less than $50 a bottle. St Emilion & Pomerol are great.
