Saturday, November 4, 2023 - Opened it at 530pm and it only started (truly) unfurling its charms after midnight. This was a regal, nebbiolo. Intense rose and violets. But the tannins - my word - they hit me like a brick wall. Coating my gums and teeth and needed me to continually rinse my mouth so that it won't affect my tasting of the other wines. This is a powerhouse that is built to last several decades. Please be advised, if consuming now, do give it many hours PLUS have it with a hearty steak to soften the tannins.
