Friday, November 3, 2023 - Late night small group at Maison Dakota. Tasted blind. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of dark red cherries, earth, dark red florals and some peonies, nail polish VA with more air. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), very high puckery tannins, full body. Medium+ flavur intensity, with flavours of polishd dark red cherries, sweet red plums, fresh earth with minerals, dark spice, smoke, ferrous iron earth and animal blood with more air. Very long tannic finish.
Excellent quality. Fresh and powerful. My initial guess was 2016 Barolo. More age required here for this Cannubi Boschis.
