Saturday, October 8, 2022 - I enjoyed this wine. The nose is dominated by Sauvignon blanc (55% vs Sémillon 45%), not surprising with it being the more aromatic variety. I don't pick up a lot of oak on the nose. The acidity is just right at this stage, the wine combines various fruit flavours with a healthy dose of oak giving buttery notes, followed by a long finish. I am not disturbed by the oak, I think the complexity and especially the finish lifts the wine to a high level. The nose is a little too one-dimensional to warrant a higher score.
