Medium+ intensity with vanilla, lactic notes, firestone, lime, lemon, nutmeg. Medium+ acidity, long finish. Clearly has seen some new oak, but it has integrated nicely over the years. No need to hurry. 91-92

I enjoyed this wine. The nose is dominated by Sauvignon blanc (55% vs Sémillon 45%), not surprising with it being the more aromatic variety. I don't pick up a lot of oak on the nose. The acidity is just right at this stage, the wine combines various fruit flavours with a healthy dose of oak giving buttery notes, followed by a long finish. I am not disturbed by the oak, I think the complexity and especially the finish lifts the wine to a high level. The nose is a little too one-dimensional to warrant a higher score.

Each to their own. Personally I found the dominance of the oak to be almost caricatural. There are good aromas and tastes of flowers and white peaches among the citrus fruits I expected, but for now they are all crushed by the rather toasty oak. Also the fruit is a little too sweet. So if you like the oaky sort of Pessac-Ls, this is fine, but if you prefer less oak and more crisp fruit, look elsewhere.

Lower than medium acidity. Unmistakable aroma of sémillon which immediately reminds of Sauternes. A very pleasant wine.

DWS in La Boheme, (By RVe): Beautiful and floral bouquet with a good dose of oak. Same on the palate, beautiful acidity. Luxurious wine.
