Friday, November 25, 2022 - Pop and pour. To be explored over few days at Gardens.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of young perfumed floral violets, sweet spices, elegant pepper spice, blackberries, dark currants, boysenberries, dark plums, mocha oak. Graphite pencil lead with more air. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high to fluctuating medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), plush approchable medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of lush blackberries, black cherries, dark currants, dark plums, sweet spices, lits of peppery spices, mocha oak Touch of green moss/vegetable around the edges. Constant earth/stone mineral undertone from nose to palate end. Long finish.
Very good quality. Complex and worthy of at least 10 years of age.
