Monday, March 11, 2019 - This is a great wine to drink now. After a 45 minute decant it’s very elegant and classic paulliac with a nose of cassis and tobacco and a lovely full to medium bodied palate of black cherry, cedar and tobacco. The issue is this is not a blockbuster wine in terms of concentration and/or sophistication like some other left bank 1996s. But it is really enjoyable and classic right now so drink up. I don’t think getting better.
