Tuesday, October 25, 2011 - Enjoyed over 2 nights, night 2 showing the best. I've had this purple-cored lovely several times in the past 4 years, and I'm here to tell you, it hasn't missed a beat - it's ageing very slowly, very gracefully. Aromas of black currant, mint, graphite, the slightest green peppercorn note, pie crust, herbs and vanilla. Fantastically complex, notwithstanding its price-point. The full-bodied palate is layered, deep and most enjoyable. The acids take pause before lifting the fruit and fine-grained tannins, extending the pleasure. This is a textbook case of a wine that should have been bought by the case, and not by the bottle. My 4th time now, and it's as fantastic as ever. Recommended+, 14,5% abv, drink thru 2018, score: A-
