Saturday, December 31, 2005 - Consumed with duck and beef tenderloin on New Year's Eve. I had tasted this at a local store in mid-December and thought it tasted great -- even out of a plastic cup. I shared this bottle with seven other people, and the focus was really on the celebration, not the wine. The nose was very impressive. The wine was mouth-coating and full-bodied in the mouth. Plenty of fruit with a hint of expresso/chocolate. I didn't rate this at the time, but I would say somewhere from 92-94 on this night. A great contribution to the celebration.
