Varietally correct, though it does lack the depth and length that one expects from a Barolo. Hints of dried cherries, spice and tar linger on the medium finish. Perhaps my expectations were so low after reading the scathing reviews here that I couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised at how "not that bad" this is.
