Saturday, March 7, 2009 - beautiful red ruby. surprisingly high pitch nose for a chateauneuf du pape. Smoke wood(quite a bit of it) marzipan, pine tree, and of course red, dark berries, and fig(!!).
On the palate, very pleasant and again surprisingly refined texture in the mid palate, and a taut finish which I am sure would fade away with years and leaving
the wine a lot more interesting than what it is now. A very nice wine indeed.
