Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - poised red fruit to start, the tannin is lively, and then the midpalate ends with a Super Tart snap. The finish is very long, with greenery and berry skins that essentially never disappear. The cab franc is singing here, allowing a glimpse of red fruit on occasion, but making its mark with a smack of underbrush. I like. But I suspect it would not be 'fruity' enough for palates accustomed to sweeter, more oak-laden reds.
