I prefer Peter’s more nuanced, finessed wines — this is a bit of a powerhouse and not totally typical for his lineup, and I’m getting a bit more cola on the nose than is ideal. But in fact it was a fantastic match to our pot roast and would work super well with any kind of pasta.
