Sunday, April 16, 2023 - PnP 2016 Saxum Booker Vineyard of 73% Syrah & 27% Mararo. Deep, dark inky matte color; light doesn’t escape it’s opaqueness. Brooding, dark berries on the nose with an ABV of 15.6%. Very fruit forward on the front of my palate then a bit of bright freshness mid palate followed by a relaxed full flavor and plenty of tannins. Decent finish, not a lot of complexity; kinda flat. I’m getting more dark fruit than any spiciness. I may have opened it during a closed phase, yet still tasty juice. Stems up!
