Tuesday, January 2, 2024 - 2014 San Roman, Toro

Cellared since 2017 after a visit to the winery. Opened December 26, 2023
Dark purple with black fruit and vanilla on the nose.
Big, rich, Tempranillo wine with good structure and nice acid providing freshness. There is appreciable oak, and tannin which provides good upside potential for development of complexity and still greater enjoyment.
Will open the next bottle in 2026.
If I were to open one before then, I would give this at least 1 hour of air.
