Sunday, April 21, 2019 - Hard and tannic even after being opened and splash decanted 24 hours earlier, but there's actually some fruit here, unlike the wan '15 Kir-Yianni. Needs many more years, though.

4/27/2019 12:20:00 AM - Vintage 2014 was a bad vintage for Naoussa. Many producers like Diamantakos, Markovitis and Kir Yianni (ramnista) didn't make wines. Some made like Thymiopoulos, Dalamaras and Argatia and wines are not very good. But, as one of the producers told me, rain hit all Naoussa except the small vineyard of Karydas. Before I learned that fact I've tried Karydas Naoussa 2014 and I couldn't see the bad vintage, a wine of class that begs for cellaring. Now that I know I will wait for my next bottle for 2024. Cheers.
