Bigger, richer and plumper fruit than the 2015 Ramnista. Grower starting in the 1980s. Built a winery in the middle of their vineyard in 1992. 1000cs annual production. Has a significantly more maturity to the rim than the 2015 Ramnista beside it. More of a sweet pollen note here. Has a Chianti Classico Riserva appeal on the palate. Medium tannin.
In 2012 they were the only Naoussa producer to release a wine, as everyone else was decimated by hail. They’re on the top of the hill. Regarded as the best site in the region. It’s noted that Karydas doesn’t have a press. (Occidental and Wayfarer are others).

Hard and tannic even after being opened and splash decanted 24 hours earlier, but there's actually some fruit here, unlike the wan '15 Kir-Yianni. Needs many more years, though.
Wow. What a wine. Def. early to drink but I couldn't wait. Typical xin. aromas with red fruit and florals. Tannic and savory with mineral quality. Can't wait to see it in 7-10 years. (Vintage 2014 was a bad vintage for Naoussa but this wine is probably WOTV).

Drinking terrifically. Tried with a lamb dish. Gorgeous, dry, earth driven, game, Italian feel to it. Really impressed.
