Tuesday, February 6, 2024 - Rhone Dinner welcoming Year of the Dragon (Bochinche): Decanted since noon, drunk ~ 830pm. Honey, candy, if blinded in an opal guess would have guess this is a sweet wine. This was how candied the nose was. Light body and tannins with touch of heat on the palate. Shockingly 15% alcohol yet only touch of heat detected, impressively winemaking. Was told when blinded tasted 4 hours earlier, it was guessed as an older vintage, perhaps exposure to air enhanced the candied notes.
