Phenomenal bottle. I was glued to it. Followed over 2 days. It has the angostura bitters, strong notes of licorice with orange peel and some ripened fruit, wisps of smoke. This was balanced, lithe, with complexity for days. I quipped that it was 95% of a Rayas at 1/8 the price.

Rhone Dinner welcoming Year of the Dragon (Bochinche): Decanted since noon, drunk ~ 830pm. Honey, candy, if blinded in an opal guess would have guess this is a sweet wine. This was how candied the nose was. Light body and tannins with touch of heat on the palate. Shockingly 15% alcohol yet only touch of heat detected, impressively winemaking. Was told when blinded tasted 4 hours earlier, it was guessed as an older vintage, perhaps exposure to air enhanced the candied notes.

Heftig Reynaud-nese med intense blomster, lavendel, roser, dyp bringebærfrukt og røde toner. Nesten like flott i munnen - mørkerød frukt, elegant munnfølelse, svarte toner i bånn gir vinen autoritet. Flott.

Classic reynaud nose of honey, strawberry, and pine. Palate is surprisingly elegant, but not showing a ton of flavor at the moment. Maybe a slightly shut bottle? Nose is killer though.

Pour une très rare fois j’ai l’impression qu’il était meilleur à l’ouverture qu’après 24 heures. Peut-être que 48 heures étaient nécessaires? 91 pts
