Wednesday, June 8, 2011 - Decanted, waited 10 minutes and started drinking. Medium garnet color. In great shape with hardly any sediment. No rusticity ...ever... with easy going tanins. Fresh raspberries, mineral and layered spices on a noticeably complex palate. Some modest funk on the nose but mostly provincial herbs and flowers. Pretty much fell in love with this wine and probably should rate it even higher. A complete wine and very smart buy at $20. Why do I only own about six btls of Bandol???? 14% alc Laped it up with marinated flank steak & hobo potatoes. Kermitt Lynch
