Thursday, May 20, 2021 - 95% Syrah with 5% Viognier. Vines are co-planted and approximately 20 years old on average. Certified organic—harvested and sorted by hand. Grapes are put into the tank by gravity, partially de-stemmed, and fermented with their indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged two years in oak barrels (15% new) with no filtration before bottling.

True to the defining characteristic of Cote-Rotie, the aromas of fresh berries, campfire, lavender, bacon fat, peppercorn, and violets leap from the glass. The dense yet elegant palate shows fresh acidity to support the tannins and lengthy finish. Black olive, gravel, roasted game, and ripe blackberry flavors provide a sultry appeal to please the most discriminating of palates.
