Thursday, December 2, 2021 - Tasting in Germany during a brief COVID interlude - November/December 2021; 11/19/2021-12/2/2021 (Germany - Schwanau/Monschau): 95(+?)pts. 12,5% vol. This Auslese Trocken from K-R rocks in great vintages, and this is no exception. Absolutely delicious, with notes of caramel, honey, lemon peel, and a touch of grapefruit in great harmony and balance. Smooth and creamy on the palate, this is a joy to taste. Mosel Fine Wines rated it 96+, and although right now I can't be so generous, it might reach such heights with more years (5+ at least) in the bottle. Wonderful QPR here. Drink or hold.
