Sunday, January 27, 2008 - Nose of cherry cola, old dusty leather, a bit of vanilla. As it opened up it became surprisingly Rhone-like, giving off an autumnal smokiness, a smell of burning leaves. Had some classic Tempranillo spice at first but became rather Syrah-like. Gentle tannins, light-bodied, but a rather impressive wine for $10. A great QPR to have around as an every day drinker.
