Saturday, January 28, 2023 - Tasted side by side with Chapoutier's 2015 Chante Alouette. Very different wines. This was richer, darker yellow. Alcohol was more present but not overwhelming. Beautiful nose emerged after decanting two hours. Lemon, petrol, almond and honey. The body is fuller with a slightly oily taste than the Chapoutier with less acidity but a much longer finish. Still very young with no tertiary flavours yet evident.
