Saturday, December 2, 2023 - Mid-shoulder so risky but the wine is totally fine and the nose is classic Figeac which is so recognizable to me. On the palate, it remains fairly lean and is very much an old-style Bordeaux with its higher acidity and lower ripeness. Delicious flavors of subdued red fruits, truffles and sweet earth that lead to smooth, tannin-free finish. Not as complex as I would've hoped and perhaps a few years past its best but it's beautifully layered with a fine mineral note.
