Saturday, January 21, 2012 - Popped and poored. Initially a funky smell which faded after about 15 minutes. Dusty and earthy on the nose and palate. Well balanced, with dark fruit, leather, a hint of wood. A medium-long finish. Not as good as I remember when I first tried this at a tasting several years ago. Seems to have started to fade, but is fading in style. Paired well with escargot.
