Friday, July 4, 2008 - This bottle was in great shape. An opaque purple core, turning to ruby-red at the rim. A bit reserved on the nose, but with some coaxing offered up scents of ripe dark fruits, smoky oak and spice. Medium-bodied on the palate, with noticeable structure and tannins. Not a particularly generous style, but it did pair well with the food.
