Thursday, February 29, 2024 - Bright ruby color and satiny mouth feel. Plenty of red berries and cherry fruit. At that point the acidity kicked in and became dominant. Fortunately I’d opened it early, so decanted it for an hour. That clearly softened the finish, but didn’t really expose a lot of secondary notes. More of a summer wine than I’ve come to expect out of these mature RRV vineyards.
