Wednesday, March 6, 2019 - Bill Elbring of North Berkeley Imports (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Spicy oak present on the nose, with some apple and cherry skin notes as well. Chunky texture on the palate when you move it around, but it does have soft edges. Palate shows sweet fruit and a tight, earthy note. Sweet but bitter fruit on the finish, which is quite tart and lean. Pretty tight right now... needs lots of time. 89+
