Saturday, January 7, 2023 - Lumpp apparently still rides under the radar as this drinks well above the $40 I paid for it. Opened 2hrs prior to dinner and decided to slow ox in 2 Riedel Burgs & btl. Semi deep ruby red. Fantastic effusive Burg nose of roses, berries, spice & emerging underbrush. Palate is energetic but plush and loaded with dark raspberry, mineral & hint of cinnamon. There's a pulsing underlying complexity still to emerge. 13% alc. Reminds me not a little bit of Mugneret Gibourg. 2 left and I'll grab more if I can find them.
