Lots of mineral and cassis notes on the taste, elements of plum, cherries were muted but there. Good robust tannins, but not harsh. This wine will improve with time, but I doubt it will turn into a door-buster. Perhaps something to accompany a nice meal. I bought a case of this at Costco. Will drink one every six months or so to see how it evolves.
