Tuesday, August 25, 2020 - The Triple Threat "165" Birthday Bash (65/60/40) (Minikahda Club, Mpls): Light-medium sockeye color. Drank a glass over an hour. Wow, this was amazing, across the board - and that was with it being served barely chilled. There's a fabulous mousse with a very fine bead, brilliant red berry fruit, extraordinarily creamy, cherry, orange blossoms on the nose. The palate is intense with so much class; strawberry, cherry, immense depth, gret spicy mineralty of stones and chalk, cranberry, and tremednous length. I could just wax on and on about this. I loved the spice notes. Don;t get the idea that this is a bruiser either. This has all the grace you'd expect from CdC with an explosion of vibrancy. Wow - 96+ to 97pts.

11/10/2020 5:15:00 PM - In general, does Rose Champagne age as well as its regular Brut counterpart? I’ve reading conflicting statements on its ability to age and would be interested to hear your opinion on the topic.

11/10/2020 9:33:00 PM - In general I don't think it's that different. Personally I'm cautious either way about pushing too far. Depends on vintage and producer often. For vintage I tend to think 20 to 30 years roughly to be safe. Obviously there are exceptions.

11/12/2020 8:29:00 AM - I agree on not pushing too far. Especially if the wines are not purchased on release. I see some of these bottles at TW sit upright for years and I shake my head.

Well, if one went with a magnum of this 07’ rose, that would definitely be less risky in 20 years would it not? Still searching for “the” bottle for my nieces 21st Bday.
