90 Points

Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - MAYBE. Am I missing something but every time i have had this champagne, it always seems a bit thin, a sharp acidity that is not well balanced by fruit. I just don't get the attraction. we opened an nv bollinger and it seemed so much more flavoursome. is it an aging issue or is it just a naked emperor?

6/12/2013 12:10:00 AM - 90 points is pretty high for a naked emperor, but not really far off from the average. I think the appeal for DP is that it is readily available in most markets and in general the produce a good product. Thee are better campaigns out there, but I can't get my hands on them. Heck, I can buy DP at Costco.

I have had some truly stunning examples of this wine, but little experience with other Champaign.

9/2/2013 4:36:00 AM - I AGREE. Overrated and overpriced. Quite enjoy the 02 and 03 but this wine really isn't anything special. Would go for a number of other wines over this, even some Proseccos
