Tuesday, April 25, 2023 - Decanted off just a little sediments. This is a wine I bought on release now the last bottle. Paid good money 20 years ago at close to $50. The wine showed a very bright color. Fresh looking still. Quite red and with hardly any tile color. Medium bodied now but still with good tannins. Fresh nose but with a little dried herbs and dried flower. Tasting much younger. The nose is recessed with only light perfume. Excellent now. We brought it to an Italian steakhouse. Very fitting. Not the best older Barolo I have had but very nice. Impressive is that it showed so little age. Been in a cool cellar for nearly 20 years.
