Sunday, March 30, 2014 - Haven't had this wine since it was released and it has changed considerably, probably past its prime, but still boasts a wonderfully complex bouquet of dark red fruit, wood, earth-like loamy note, bit of white pepper, subtle spice, a vein of minerality along with some other notes that are difficult to capture. It retained much of its ruby color with distinct bricking on the edge. Mid-weight, some acidity remained, but I found the finish disjointed. As I recall this is all Garnacha from fairly old vines -- it was a bit of a monster on released, but now its mellow and an interesting sipper, but I would definitely not wait any longer to pull the cork on this one.
