Tuesday, December 5, 2023 - One-hour decant through a screened and aerating funnel. Slight sediment in screen. During decant, moderate aromas of dark cherries and cedar. Wine was clear; still purplish from bowl to rim. After resting: nose had evolved: cherries, black fruit, roses and vanilla. Body was medium-plus with an elegant mouthfeel showcasing blackberry, cranberry and vanilla. Well-balanced. Will likely improve but wonderful now.
