Sunday, April 3, 2022 - Deep garnet purplish almost opaque in the glass. Powerful aromas of black & red fruits; plums, currants, & cassis integrated with floral & leafy notes, some smoke & cigar box. It’s dense on the palate but felt disjointed vs the nose. Medium to full bodied, firm and grainy tannins with a dry finish of bay leaf and subtle baked berries. This definitely require more time in the cellar to unfurl its potential if there is any. Note: left overnite, palate & finish improved to finer tannins & finish
