230324: Celebrating DQ's Bday at Uovo Asador with immacutely curated menu and wines by birthday boy himself. My bottle tb which I popped 2 hrs before & bottle breathe. Nose: Blackberries, black cherries, and plums, accompanied by notes of dried fig & herbs, black pepper, with a subtle touch of smoky oak. Well-integrated tannins with concentrated flavors of ripe black fruits. Very classic Northern Syrah with showing layers of complexity with hints of licorice, spices, and a touch of earthiness

230324: Celebrating DQ's Bday at Uovo Asador with immacutely curated menu & wines by bday boy himself. Bottle TB from SKT. Thought this was the most matured tonight - plenty of tertiary notes. Ripe dark fruits, forest floor, roasted bell pepper, accompanied by nuances of cedar, tobacco, & a touch of earthiness. Well integrated tannins with velvety texture & mouthfeel. My guess was a 20 yrs old pauillac, either a GPL or Clerc Milon

Medium-bodied with a silky texture that coats the palate elegantly. The wine exhibits a balanced acidity that adds freshness.
TB paired with our beef, this was just exquisite. Love the minerality & fresh acidity that balanced up the buttery flavors from the A5 Miyazaki. Intense complex aromas of black fruits; blackberries & blackcurrants, mingled with notes of tobacco, leather, and subtle hints of cedar & spice. Ripe black fruits dominate, complemented by layers of earthy tones, & tobacco leaf.
