89 Points

Friday, July 14, 2023 - From 75cl, perfect cork, opened but not decanted 1 hour, did not develop in glass. Elegant muscat grape and ruby grapefruit scent; full-bodied, plush, soft entry; while the mid-palate does show some of the acidity mentioned in CT TNs below, it is alas smothered by soft, sweet stone fruit (apricot?); the lack of textural verve persists onto the flaccid finish. I bought a stash of this on a whim after an outstanding experience with a bottle of the 2013 vintage in 2021, and frankly now regret doing so. But perhaps the 2017 will lose its puppy fat and become similarly thrilling by 2025. I'm not confident it will, so for now the best I can offer this evening is 89P
