Monday, July 3, 2023 - Very nice balance of sweetness and acidity. Notes of white jasmine, peach and apricot on both the nose and palate. Some apple and caramel as well, but much less caramel than I’ve experienced from more mature Sauternes. Opened this and sampled over four days. Enjoyed the last glasses with dessert (apple tart and gateau au amanses) over the course of 45 minutes, and by this point it had really come together quite nicely. Was still young in character, and continued to evolve in the glass, but all the various components seemed really well integrated. This strong vintage will undoubtedly improve over the coming decades but is surprisingly good even at this young age.
