Saturday, June 24, 1989 - With K at home at dinner (teriyaki halibut). Deep straw color. The bouquet is just a knockout. Can be smelled well before the first sniff. Big, bold complex butterscotch fruit and citrus with well-integrated oak. As good if not better on the palate. This wine is bold and brassy with nothing held back. Luscious, with all of the above well in evidence. It all works because the acid holds everything in perfect balance. What a wine! The finish just won't quit! 5-13-18-9: 95/100.
