Thursday, February 7, 2008 - Medium ruby red color. Beautiful aromas of sour cherry, leather, and some earthy funk. Medium body with good grippy tannins and tart acids.Opened nicely over several hours. Tannin is a little bitter, not astringent though. Honest, earthy Sangiovese. I think this will loosen up and improve with another few years of age. Very good with linguine and marinara. 12.5% abv. $20.
